The Himalayas in India
Tea tree oil is a wonderful, wonderful oil. It has so many uses, from curing athlete’s foot and nail fungus to getting rid of lice, it is a very useful and inexpensive natural remedy that won’t disappoint. Applied topically it is an antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic so it covers a lot of different ailments and issues without harmful side effects or harsh chemicals. It is simply amazing.
I became a believer when my mom used it to cure a long standing fungal infection under a toenail (nail salons…uhhh). She had seen a doctor who prescribed Lamisil orally for the infection but decided against it when he told her she would need to have liver function tests periodically to make sure the medication wasn’t damaging her liver. Really? A simple nail fungus vs. irreversible liver damage…in what world does that even make sense? Luckily, my mother had more sense than her doctor and declined the harsh medication and instead sought an alternative treatment. A couple weeks of daily tee tree oil applied to the nail and the infection disappeared. Simple as that.
It works and I love it.

I discovered the most amazing toothpaste recently. It contains tea tree oil which is a great antiseptic and antimicrobial and one of my favorite essential oils. The toothpaste is actually tea tree oil & cinnamon flavored and doesn’t taste bad at all. It’s all natural and at less than $5 a tube it’s a steal. I highly recommend that you try it…you won’t regret it!
I buy most of my stuff at iherb.com because of there low prices and awesome service but I’m sure you can find it anywhere that Jason products are sold. Here’s a link…

A couple years ago I developed some pretty bad acne out of the blue. For about a year and a half I would get these really deep and long lasting pimples on my cheeks, as soon as one would go away another would pop up. I finally got the acne under control with birth control and it has been cleared up for several months now. Unfortunately, I’m left with terrible acne scars on my cheeks. The scars are reddish brown and very noticeable even with makeup on.
I’ve tried all kinds of creams and potions with no success so far and can’t afford the more effective prescription strength creams or in office procedures. I did a google search for fading acne scars with natural remedies and found an abundance of information. Everything from aspirin facials to lemon juice came up as ways to fade the spots. One thing that kept coming up was rose hip seed oil. It’s an oil extracted from the seeds of a rose bush and in addition to healing scars it’s used for all types of skin issues and with great reviews. I’m a big fan of coconut oil for my skin and hair so I figured I’d give it a try and it’s price made it an easy choice. I found it on iherb.com for $11.59 (0.36 fl oz).
I’ve been using it for just a few weeks now and it has already began to fade my dark spots a bit. It comes in a small bottle with a roller ball on it and soaks in fast so it’s super easy to use with no mess and so far it hasn’t caused any break outs or irritation.
Here’s a link to the product I bought and the site I bought it from. They have other brands but this one is organic and I love the roller ball packaging.
